Day 1: Local sightseeing
Day 1 – Top 3 tourist places in AmritsarGolden Temple (Sri Harmandir Sahib)
- History: The Golden Temple was founded by Guru Ram Das Ji, the fourth Sikh Guru, and completed by Guru Arjan Dev Ji in 1604. Guru Arjan placed the holy scripture, Guru Granth Sahib, inside the shrine. The temple was attacked many times, - but it was always rebuilt. In the 19th century, Maharaja Ranjit Singh covered the dome with real gold, giving the temple its world-famous shine. The temple is surrounded by the Amrit Sarovar (holy tank), from which Amritsar city gets its name.
Day 2: Amritsar Sightseeing
After breakfast proceed to visit the World famous Golden Temple - The shrine houses the holy script of the Guru Granth Sahib and draws its name from the gold-laden dome upon a marble base. Inside lies the holy lake. Also visit the Historical landmark “Jallian Wala Bagh” – This historical site commemorates one of the most gruesome acts of mass killing committed by the British during India’s struggle for independence. Later, your trip will extend to the Durgiana Hindu temple, visit Maharaja Ran
Day 3: Departure
In time transfer to airport to connect the flight for onwards destination.
